If there was one valuable thing I learnt growing up, it’s that you don’t dream about success. You work for it. Despite this, success is not the core of my motivation; but what I can do for others through my experiences is what inspires me.
Women commonly experience a subordinate sense of identity in society. However, what sets women apart is their ability to rise above these experiences and to be better than what she has gone through.
My mother went through a life-changing experience when I was only 2 years old. My mom taught me to get up no matter how you feel, she taught me to try even if you don’t know how to begin. She has always been and still remains the core of my motivation. It is through her experience that I am able to look at life through a significantly different lens. It is through her strength that I am able to overcome my weaknesses.
‘Kind heart, fierce mind, brave spirit’. This is the epitome of what a woman is. She has a gentle and nurturing soul with a heart for those she loves. Despite this, she has a mind of her own. Strong in her opinions and planted in her beliefs, she stands by herself. Over and above this she is brave at heart. Despite her fears she manages to face every day. She dares to strive for things she knows is out of reach but attainable. It is attainable because she believes it is. She is strong, she is courageous and she bold. Motivation is the ability to get up in spite of your situations; and being able to strive for them despite what you lack.
