The Purpose Of Life Is A Life Of Purpose
“Everything is created twice, first in the mind and then in reality.”
― Robin S. Sharma
Assessment and aim:
Identifying what’s great in your life and what could be worked on.
Once you do it’s easier to get there. Creating a clear mental picture of your goal for example using vision boards – not something hokey pokey but a clear distinguished vision. Your path. Own it.
Committing to yourself:
Give yourself some positive pressure so you don’t slip back into your bad habits and self-doubts.
Write a goal-contract with yourself and include a timeline.
Build your habit by taking a brave step every day towards achieving it. Remember, baby steps are still steps.
Laugh along the way because a day without laughter or a day without love is a day without life.
Your time is so important, as are you.
Not every day is a Friday or another manic Monday, it is an equally significant day of your valuable life.
If you hate Mondays you probably hate your job, so do what you are passionate about or find what you enjoy.
Create a rational schedule
Keep some form of a schedule. This doesn’t have to be a planner or planning out each day. This could simply be keeping track of when the last time you went out with your friends or the last time you turned your phone off and did something you enjoy. I love using my Reminders + Calendar app, and it keeps be on top of everything. There’s a list and deadline for different aspects of my life — work, fun, fitness etc.
Now take that scheduling an be absolutely cheeky – block yourself some downtime:
A good way to make sure I’m getting just enough of it to rejuvenate me but not too much where I feel lazy or behind.
This is an effective way of reflecting and going into what you plan to achieve with a fresh approach.
Learn to say no
“You cannot please everyone, you are not an avocado” – My friend Kateřina Brouzdová
If you’re having trouble keeping on top of everything going on in your life, it may be that you’ve committed more time than you have. If you’re like me (and just about everyone else), you don’t like to refuse favors, new responsibilities, or even casual requests, for fear of:
- looking undependable,
- Upsetting someone, or
- Missing out on something.
Make a point of seriously considering any request that comes your way, and double-check your schedule before taking anything else on. When it’s too much, don’t be afraid to politely say no.
Enlist help:
Everybody has something they excel at, some prefer to focus on what their passions are rather than something that doesn’t interest them.
To do this, he recommends you pick a typical day and list everything you did. Then, put a star next to every item you think you could get someone to help you with. It also presents as an opportunity for someone to expand on something they might want to do too.
It opens doors of opportunity – encourages growth in teamwork or getting involved.
This sense of delegating tasks in your life serves you to also reclaim some of your valuable time.
Help others:
Practice Daily Random Acts Of Kindness
Elevating The Lives Of Others, Your Life becomes rewarding.
It also becomes entertaining and makes you smile when you get someone by surprise.
Don’t hoot – Be the person that smiles – Shout out and complement other women even if you seem silly, who cares, laugh with yourself! – eat the food – buy the art – it’s the small things that count – The you got this attitude is the foundation of where your path takes you.
If you are managing a team – sometimes you may want to step out and do what you need to do.
if they wonder about finishing tasks or having someone checking up on them.?
Have a decoy bag! Leave one in your office it creates a sense of presence even when you aren’t there. This ones a bit cheeky yet very effective.
Offline is the new luxury:
Turn off your phone or put it away during outings with friends or family.
By being in the moment you can enjoy and get used to being okay without using social media to mark every occasion using a filter or a hashtag.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when I go to lunch with anyone and they sit on their phone. I personally find that sometimes that only way I truly have time away from social media is when I’m out. Put your phone down and be in the moment – have a real conversation without an emoji.
Trust me you will be happy you did.
You matter:
How do you savor life to the fullest and not waste a single moment of your time? By reminding yourself that today could very be your last day.
So it’s high time you stop accepting a life of mediocrity. The only way to experience more is to push yourself to do more.
Only 20% of your time, dedicated to the day-to-day activities, yield lasting results that could influence the quality of your life.
Keep that balance – Do what you love in all aspects of your life – on ending, here are some interesting yet effective food tips!
Two handfuls of cashews equal a dose of prozac:
Cashews contain mood-stabilizing vitamins: B6, magnesium, niacin, and even tryptophan. B6 helps convert the tryptophan into serotonin and helps magnesium enter into the body’s cells. It’s the synergy of these nutrients that helps with depression; researchers claim that if you eat two or more handfuls of cashews per day, you will get enough tryptophan to alter and elevate your mood.
Eating a variety of multicolored fresh fruits and veg makes your skin glow.
This is what I like to call the unicorn diet.
Turmeric heated first thing in the morning is literarily the best thing ever even though it tastes ghastly.
